Who is responsible

Cafeeples, based in San José, Costa Rica, is the controller for the processing described on this page. For anything related to personal data, write to contact@cafeeples.com.

What this site collects

Nothing that identifies you. cafeeples.com is a static site: it has no database, keeps no profiles, requires no sign-up, and contains no form that sends information to a server of ours. The contact buttons open your mail client or WhatsApp with a blank message; until you choose to send it, nothing reaches us.

Cookies

The site sets exactly one cookie, and it's functional:

• NEXT_LOCALE — remembers whether you prefer the site in Spanish or English so we don't ask again. It lasts a year and is shared with no one.
• We use no advertising, profiling, third-party, or audience-measurement cookies.

Analytics and trackers

This site loads no Google Analytics, no social media pixels, no heatmaps, and no other tracking tool. Fonts are served from our own domain rather than fetched from an external font server, so visiting the page doesn't announce your visit to third parties.

Hosting and technical logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes technical connection data — IP address, browser type, time and path of the request — to deliver the page and protect it from abuse and attacks. Cloudflare acts as an infrastructure provider here, and that processing is governed by its own privacy notice.

When you write to us

If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we process whatever you choose to send — your name, your email or phone number, and what you tell us about the project — for one purpose only: replying to you and, if the project goes ahead, running the work. We don't use it to send you marketing, we don't sell it, and we don't pass it to third parties for commercial purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep correspondence for as long as the relationship lasts, and afterwards for whatever period our accounting and legal obligations require. If a thread went nowhere and you'd rather we deleted it, ask and we will.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to any data we hold about you, for it to be corrected or deleted, or for us to stop processing it. Write to contact@cafeeples.com, ideally from the address you contacted us with, and we'll handle it at no cost. In Costa Rica these rights are recognised by Law 8968 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of their personal data; if you write from the European Union or the United Kingdom, we honour the same requests.

Minors

This site is aimed at companies and professionals. We do not knowingly request or collect data from minors.

Links to other services

We link to Instagram, GitHub, and WhatsApp. Following those links takes you off cafeeples.com and under the privacy policies of those services, over which we have no control.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we update the date in the header. When a change is substantive we'll flag it on this page rather than quietly swapping it out.
